Does anyone know where to get a ListBox-like control that supports Unicode? The standard version is tied to the system codepage. I need to support combinations of foreign languages (Korean, Chinese, etc.) that can't be represented by any one codepage, so Unicode support is a must. Help on any other Unicode-compatible controls would also be very appreciated.

Hello All,
I'm trying to get a "Virtual Listbox" to work. I've currently got a form,
and used CreateWindowExA to create a ListBox with the LBS_OWNERDRAWFIXED and
LBS_NODATA flags on it. I've allso subclassed the window and do see all
kinds of WS_??? messages coming by.
But now I'm stuck :-\

When concatenating strings (actually, a constant and a string...) i get
the following error:
UnicodeDecodeError: 'ascii' codec can't decode byte 0xfc in position 1:
ordinal not in range(128)
Now I don't think either string is unicode, but I'm working with
win32api so it might be... :) The point is: I know all values will fit
in a particular code page (iso-8859-2), so how do I change the 'ascii'
codec in the above error into something...

For the first time in my programmer life, I have to take care of character
encoding. I have a question about the BOM marks.
If I understand well, into the UTF-8 unicode binary representation, some
systems add at the beginning of the file a BOM mark (Windows?), some don't.
(Linux?). Therefore, the exact same text encoded in the same UTF-8 will
result in two different binary files, and of a slightly different length.
Right ?
