Hi There,
I have a problem running a VB program.
This programs actually reads a DAT file and gives the best CPU time taken to run the program.
for example I'm reading files like TN3004, TN3104 , TN3204 ...so forth
but when i try to run this prog it gives an error File name currently limnited to 8.3 format ..**please try again**
<-<-3;1H Enter name of Read
this is the part of the code where i'm having issues
Private Sub cmdRun_Click()
Dim strfile As String
strfile = ""
read the file into a string
Dim listStr, currStr As String
Dim Counter As integer
pos = 1
pos = Instr(pos, strFile, "DATAFILE=" )
tempStr = "TN"
For Counter = 0 to 7
listStr = " "
ListStr = tempstr & "3" & counter & "0" 'file names start with TN3004 etc
listStr = listStr & "4"
currStr = Mid(strFile, pos + 9,5)
txtCurrentFile. Text = currstr
Next counter
wud kindly appreciate if somone could help me on this

Hi There,
I have a PHP script that sends an email with attachment and works great when
provided the path to the file to send.
However this file needs to be on the same server as the script.
I want to develop a webpage where people can send attachments that are
stored on their local PC.

Just wondering if anyone has hit the following issue and how you might
have sorted it out.
I am using the command:
DoCmd.TransferText acExportMerge, , stDataSource, stFileName, True
after setting stDataSource and stFileName to the desired values. Most
of the time it works, but occasionally, typically as code changes are
being made to the module, the following message appears:

I am pretty much lost here - I am trying to create a managed c++
wrapper for this dll, so that I can use it from c#/vb.net, however, it
does not conform to any standard style of coding I have seen. It is
almost like it is trying to implement it's own COM interfaces...

Hi,
I'm using PHP 4.4.4 on Apache 2 on Fedora Core 5. PHP was installed
using Apache's apxs and the php library was installed to
/usr/local/php. However, when I set my "error_reporting" setting to be
"E_ALL", notices are still not getting reported. The perms on my file
are 664, with owner root and group root. The php.ini file is located
at /usr/local/lib/php/php.ini. Any ideas why the setting does not seem
to be having an effect? ...

First of all I am very new to c++ so please bear with me. I am trying
to create a program that keeps an inventory of items. I am trying to
use a struct to store a product name, purchase price, sell price, and
a taxable flag (a Y/N char) and then write this all out to a file
(preferably just a plain old text file) and then read it in later so
that I can keep a running inventory. The problem that I am running
into is when I write to the...

Note: You may skip to the end of the article if all you want is the perl code.
Introduction
Many websites have a form or a link you can use to download a file. You click a form button or click on a link and after a moment or two a file download dialog box pops-up in your web browser and prompts you for some instructions, such as “open” or “save“. I’m going to show you how to do that using a perl script.
What You Need

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
