Hello, I was given the task to build a .Net client that will talk to IBM integration server via HTTP post. The idea is that each http packet exchange should be authenticated via X09 "client authentication and not "server authentification" The code i wrote is quite straight forward. (See listing below) With server authentication, the server's application will contain a certificate created specifically for that server. The client...

hi, using .net 2.0, i have a web form with lots of textboxes, drop-down-lists etc. There are lots of required field validators and regular expression validators. When i click the 'save' button, the client-side validation is executed immediately and the errors flash up on screen. However at the same time, a post-back is performed and the page is obviously un-usable while it is awaiting a response from the server. it looks very poor from...

Have two domains, which are non-trusted.. and will never be I've been told. Users on one domain need to access a website on the other domain, but don't want to have to enter any credentials as they've already logged into their own domain. Their domain login user name is duplicated in a database on the website domain, so authentication can be handled by the web app as long as we can pass the user id across. Oh bugger thinks I, that's a...

This is a classic double hop delegation issue, however its the first time we are setting this up so we are doing something incorrectly. If we run through the IDE or using a localhost path on the web server the command succeeds. However, if we use the servername or ip through IIS it fails. For this reason we know we have permissions setup correctly on the file server. Can anyone identify what we could possibly be doing wrong here: ...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
