getting table or query name on export

1 New Member
Is want to know is there anyway to attain the name of a table or the name of a query when you are exporting from access to excel. I want to be able to display the name of the access table/query that the spreadsheet came from on a separate worksheet of the spreadsheet. This is needed b/c i export hundreds of files a month and should a problem occur with a report, i want to be able to look at the info that is stored on the second worksheet of the report and know what table of the database the spreadsheet was created from.

Thanks

Okay So I've got pivot tables setup in Access 2003. Only about 30K records in the current 2005 databases...the pivots summarize the info in a number of nice ways. I need to get the pivot tables into a document so I can distribute the tables, as is, as an electronic report (without the detailed data) So I export to rtf and xls, and I get an error that there is a too much information. I don't want all the data, just the summary table!

Hello All, Is it possible to change table field lookup properties in code? I've been able to change other field properties in code, however so far no luck with field lookup properties. What I've done for test purposes is use a text input file for the table field lookup properties. I thought that I'd start first by just changing the 'Display Control' property. Thanks to Allen Browne for some ideals per...

Is there a way to specify different field names in a temporary table created using VBA? I just inherited a program and now the users want to export results to Excel. The original programmer only provided printed reports, so field names did not matter. The temp table is created using a query. When I export it to Excel it uses the table field names from a temp table (for example: SumOfLMNRKeyedNoABN). The users find this confusing and would...

The next field an ID name that is 15 characters that needs to be exported as pic(20) padded with trailing spaces. There are about 5 fields in...

I’m creating a small database in Access 2003(XP) to track issues during software testing. As far as databases go, it’s going to be a relatively small, short term project (No more than 20,000 records in the main table over about 2 months). I have a main table (Issues) that is populated by a form (IssueAdds). On my form there is a combobox to select Opened by (who created the record). That list is populated by a table called Contacts. Here...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
