Hello,
I've the following problem. I've to read out the data of a custom
application. I think (I'm not sure) this application is using a
Paradox DB to store it's information. I don't know it exactly cause
I'm not familar with paradox at all, but I've found files like *.db,
*.mb, *.px, *.xg*, *.yg* !!!

I am trying to access Paradox through a .NET Windows application I am
writing. I have added a Data Connection to the Paradox table in the Server
Explorer of Visual Studio .NET. I have used the "Microsoft OLD DB Provider
for ODBC Drivers" option to make the connection. This works fine... even

I want to automate the import of 5 encrypted .db (Paradox) tables into
a MS Access 2002 database every time the Access database is opened. I
think I could use the TransferDatabase method to import the .db tables,
but, since these tables are encrypted, I need to provide a password at
the start of the import.
Unfortunately, the .db tables are created as part of an application: I
cannot unencrypt the tables nor set the password to...

Anyone done a DELETE or UPDATE on Paradox tables in C#?
I can read the stuff, but I can't delete records.
I tried using ExecuteNonQuery and it choked. Then I tried
using an Odbc data adapter. It didn't give an error, but it
also didn't change anything.

After working with Microsoft for almost 2 weeks, the
conclusion is that the Jet engine cannot work with
some Paradox tables.
By some, I mean Paradox tables that contain no
indexes. Some of the old Paradox tables, especially
those that were created in the old Delphi 1 era,
contained no indexes. .NET doen't like that, so
it basically ignores any INSERT, UPDATE, or
DELETE sql command.

I'm trying to read some Paradox tables using C#. I can see the tables in
Server
Explorer but I can't seem to get the Connection and Data Adapter set up.
I'm
sure I'm missing something simple. Can someone point me in the right
direction?

Hi,
I am accesing some paradox table using the ADO .net and everthing worked
fine until I had to save something in a memo field. Everytime I try to
update a memo field I get an error. Is there any know issues with this kind
of fields in Paradox tables or am I doing something wrong.

I've never really setup or used MS SQL Server (just a couple hours, one
day, several months ago). I think MS SQL Server has the ability to use
"linked tables", like MS Access does. Is this correct? What I want to
do is have an MS SQL Server setup, which compatible applications can
talk with, but I want the data to come from a Paradox database. I can
use any MS SQL version, whatever would work best. I'm not sure about

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
