I need to extract data from this table to find the lowest prices of
each product as of today. The product will be listed/grouped by the
name only, discarding the product code - I use SUBSTRING(ProductName,
1, CHARINDEX('(', ProductName)-2).
I can get this result, but I had to use several views (totally
inefficient). I think this can be done in one efficient/fast query,
but I can't think of one.
In the case that one query is not...

Hi all.
I'm fairly new to VB.net, and I have very little experience with Javascript.
I'm trying to get a Client Side Custom Validator to work for many
interrelated controls. I'd like to check several fields and update the
Error Message on the fly, and then have at least one error message shown in
a message box.
How do I write the Javascript? Should it be in the html code behind the
form? Or do I use the append function? I've...

I built a database application and I have a field which is for the Close
Date. But I need to create an effective date that it will come out
automatically. The Effective Date should be 6 months after the Close Date.
How can I do this?
Any help I would really appreciate it.
Thanks,

Problem 1 - I have a query setup to run a report. How could I filter
out some record from a field called Status Effective Date from my
report only if it is 30 days prior to when the report is printed.
Problem 2 - I'm trying to make a field a required field only if a
condition in another field is met. Example: I want to make Target
Follow-up date a required field only if submission date is entered.
Thanks in advance, any help will be...

Good Morning,
I have a view that contains rate information, contractIDs, and effective
dates.
I need to select the rate info based on contractID and date.
I can provide a date and contractID, and I need to select the rate info for
that contract where the effective date is <= dateprovided.
I need the 1 record that is closest to that date.
I am thinking something with max() perhaps. Any ideas? The <= effective

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
