file?
I have searched the web for example... and download the example and when
run, it works perfectly.
But when i try to insert a sound file (.wav) to my project and set the Build
Action to "Embedded Resources". And then I use the same code as what I saw

I'm writing a utility that needs to be aware of media (CD, DVD, Zip
disk, usb stick, etc) insertions and removals. Which seems to be more
of a problem than I original imagined.
I can't use any auto-run features because this is actually running on
Windows XP Embedded... so that's the first thing to be aware of.
Using WM_DEVICECHANGE works about half the time...that is, it works when
a DVD or CD is inserted, but it does not work for Zip...

Howdy
I've got a rather strange issue occuring.
I used forms based .NET authentication, although I'm also setting some
session variables when people login.
However, I've found when people use one of my webform pages which includes a
button that pops up a window where you can upload files, if you upload files
in this popup window, it seems to somehow clear out all of the session
variables and the users get logged out. However, if...

Closing a file can (I believe) raise an exception. Is that documented
anywhere? I've spent a lot of frustrating time trying to track this down,
with no luck, which suggests that either my google-foo is weak or that it
isn't documented. Is IOError the only exception it can raise?
The only thing I have found is this:
http://mail.python.org/pipermail/python-bugs-list/2004-November/026031.html
Out of curiosity, is there a simple way to...

When I single step through the code below, it sends back the PDF file that
is retrieved in the line fm.GetAccountPDF(...). When I run without single
stepping, I get the master page for this page. I have actually saved the
file returned by IE 7 as a text file and opened it in notepad, so I have
confirmed that it is indeed the page master being returned. The code is in
the code behind file for the aspx page and is called directly from a...

Store them in db, local file system or centralized file server?

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
