read excel file

Hello, i am trying to create a code or get something that lets me read an excel file and take whats in the excel file and then put all of the cells into a list box, or import certain cells into a list box, which ever one will work.

So far i havent found anything that has worked.
Someone pleas help me with this, this code is over my head.

Thank you.

By the way, The application is for a Free Student Based Organization called HCHY, its an attendance program, and they have old files they need to get info from, and those files are excel, they said they dont want to manually enter the info, so i need this code, which i have no idea how to create, please someone help me with this.
