Thanks for your post.
First, the XP theme will only take effect when you have changed the
system's theme from windows appearance from "Windows Classic Style" to
"Windows XP style". Have you enabled this, and which windows version you
are using?
Second, I am not sure of what is the definiation of the XP style of Panel
control, it is actually not a build-in Win32 control. On my side, after
enabling "Windows XP style", the button will have xp style, for panel
control, because its backcolor are almost the same as form's backcolor, it
will take no effect at all.
