Call function in Access DB from VB.NET

Hi all,

I have a VB.NET application and I also have a seperate application that
is an Access 97 database using VBA. I need to be able to launch the
Access program from VB.NET, and I also need to call a function that was
written in the Access db from VB.NET. Here is what I tried doing, but
I'm getting an error which says "Invalid callee". Thanks in advance
for any help!

Dim objAccess As Object
objAccess = GetObject("C:\test.mdb")
objAccess.Run("FunctionName", ID, "ParamString1", "ParamString2",
"ParamString3")

***NOTE: on the objAccess.Run line, FunctionName is the name of my
function and the rest are just parameters that are just passed in.

Hi I have created a VB dll file that contains common functions I use across various projects in VB, Access and Excel. Rather than have to code the functions in each I decided to use the dll route. The problem being that I can't call these functions from the query designer in Access. I decided that I would try the route of declaring the...

(It's for Google Maps, but I won't bore you with the complexities of that, as it doesn't affect the question). Mochas kudos to anyone able to...

I just read §2.11.3 of D&E, and I have to say, I'm quite puzzled by what it says. http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/essential/concurrency/syncrgb.html <shrug> -- NOUN:1. Consider the variadic function with the following prototype: int foo(int num,...); Here 'num' specifies the number of arguments, and assume that all the arguments that should be passed to this function are of type int. (My question has nothing to do with the definition of the function foo, so don't bother about it.) If I call the function...

Hi there I'm hoping someone can help me out with the use of the Eval function. I am using Access2003 under WinXP Pro. I can successfully use the Eval function and get it to call any function with or without parms. I know that any function that is passed to Eval() must be declared Public. It can be a Sub or Function, as long as it's Public. I...
