Microsoft FotoVision Sample - panes never created?

Hiya,

Has anyone looked at the FotoVision sample from Microsoft?

I downloaded the sample projects and installed the FotoVision Desktop
version. I opened the solution with VS.NET 2003 and it compiles fine.
When I try and run it, though, it takes an error...

This line:

paneAlbums.SelectedAlbum = lastAlbum

causes the error:

An unhandled exception of type 'System.NullReferenceException'
occurred in FotoVision.exe
Additional information: Object reference not set to an instance of an
object.
Looking at the source code, I see that paneAlbums is declared:

Private WithEvents paneAlbums As AlbumsPane

But nowhere in code can I find where it ever sets paneAlbums = New
AlbumsPane(). Same issue with the other two panes, panePhotos and
paneDetails.

For an otherwise excellent example, which is rated 9 out of 9, I find
it strange that I am running into this seemingly simple problem..

Anyone else tried the FotoVision sample and run into this?
