Tapes from VB.NET

How does one read/write tapes (like the ones for backups) from vb.net.

tape drives usually have an API for programming, look into your drives API's

Hey Brian,

Actually, I don't have a tape drive.
But wanted to write software that would use any tape drive.

Wondered if there might be some tape drive API or class that microsoft had
available for developers. I want to add Tape writing to my app.
