VB.net and Self Documentation Like C#

Does anyone know why MS didn't give VB.net the same self
documenting capabilities as C# ( ///) ? It seems like a
pretty big oversight. I also program in Java and I sure
do miss that feature. Are there any plans to include it
in the future?
