I was trying code similar to this but was not having success. Any ideas are appreciated. If State = "LA" Then lablename.Move Top:=1

I would like to set the caret position in a (single-line) textbox to a position based on the number of pixels from the left of the control. For example, I want the caret to be positioned 50 pixels from the left (or as near to there as possible based on the characters in the control). I basically have the position in which the user has positioned the mouse cursor within the textbox, and want to react as if they had actually clicked it....

Hi; I have my <form> in the master page because the master page includes the menu for all pages. But I would like to set the default button and control to place the caret in for each page. Is there a way to do this? (My understanding is this has to be done in the form tag.) -- thanks - dave david_at_windward_dot_net

Greetings, I seek a best practice to dynamically load form data to the current web page. Example: a user logs into a web page to add a recipe. 1. recipe web page loads with no ingredients where the user is prompted to enter ingredient: Please enter ingrediant QTY: ____ MEASURE:___ ITEM___. And so he enters form data <1> <cup><sugar> and clicks submit button 2. same page reloads displaying a grayed out table to list 1 cup sugar and form...

Hi, I made a form consisting of a lot of server-controls (dropdownlist, radiobuttonlist ...). Some controls have their property 'autoPostBack' = true because some things must happen when selectedvalue is changed. My problem: suppose that the property 'autoPostBack' of 20th control is true, each time the user changes the selectedvalue, he is sent back to the top of the form after postback. He has then to scroll down to find the 21th...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
