I have a sortable datagrid,all has bounded columns.
Depending on certain conditions ,i'm changing particular columns header caption on the itemcreated event of the datagrid like this
e.Item.Cells(2).Text ="ABC"
but after setting this the sorting facility is disabling of that particular column

I am considering buying LLBLGen Pro for my Windows.Forms application.
I want to use DataGrid control to present data in my database tables.
One of features I rely on is easy data sorting based on different
attributes shown.
In the LLBL documentation I can see that it is not possible to click
DataGrid column header to sort the data. Is it possible to somehow
achieve that kind of operation?

techniques for sort and filtering datagrids. Many do re-queries
against the dB ala Fritz Onion. I am trying to leverage the Dataview.

I have a DataGrid which is bound to a DataView to return search
results. The DataGrid headers allow sorting so when clicked I rebind
the DataView with the appropriate Sort property. To save expensive
database calls, the DataView is used instead of re-querying.

I've got a new DGV problem that makes no sense. I need to implement a very
simple "row move" operation in a DGV. basically if the user pressed
Shift+Up or Shift+Down the selected row and it's previous or following row
are swapped. This gives the effect of moving a row up or down. I'm
achieving this by swapping the values of a cell (OrderIndex) that the DGV is
sorted on.
