How to disable one row in datagrid ?

My datagrid will let the user input the data row by row.
However, there is one row which is read only (it may appear in 2nd row or 4th row.. whatever)

How can I do that ??
Thanks in advance .

Umm, the DataGridViewRow .ReadOnly property maybe?

Zack,

The question was a datagrid, be aware that this is a complete different
control

A datagrid handles datasets, a datagridview datatables

Hi, the application I am writing has a MainMenu and a DataGrid (UltraGrid). Now I have to edit the text of each cell in this grid. So far so good. All works fine in editmode but if I press a key which is also a shortcut it doesn´t work and the menuitem-clickevent will be performed.

I'm using Andy Smith's RowSelectorColumn control (great control) and I'm not sure if this question is generic to all datagrid controls or this particular one. Is there a way to disable one of the checkboxes based on data in the grid? If so, can you provide the syntax? Thanks, Chip

I have a datagrid that successfully allows editing and updating (with dataadapter.update command). I want the user to be able to edit the "text" in the datagrid, but i DON'T want the user to be able to DELETE rows. The OleDbCommandBuilder automatically creates the DELETE SQL statement. Is there any way I can disable it? If not, what approach should I be using? Thanks!

I thought the only thing I had to do to disable column sorting in VB.NET was to set datagrid.AllowSorting = False. Unfortunately this has never worked for me. I discovered another set of code that seems to work for 99% of the cases where I need to disable datagrid column sorting: Private Sub datagrid_MouseDown(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.MouseEventArgs) Handles datagrid.MouseDown Dim pt As New Point(e.X,...

Hello all, I can usually find solutions to my .NET problems by searching these groups, but I'm stumped on this one. I have a datagrid in VB.NET (2.0 framework). I want to disable sorting on the first column in the grid only. I havent found a way to reliably do this yet. I tried putting the following code in the datagrid's mouse down event Dim hti As DataGrid.HitTestInfo

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
