Creating DFS namespaces

Hi

I have setup DFS namespaces (no problem here).

I am currently writing software to manage their projects. The DFS is \
\%domainname%\p rojects\%year%\ ProjectNo

we have different remote sites dealing with different projects, so
have i setup the DFS root at the ProjectNo, so that i can sync/move
projects to different server without coping unwanted projects. All
Projects are stored and backup in headoffice. for example projects
1,3,5 sync with remote site 1 where Projects 2,6,9 with remote site 2
and Project 4,7,8 with remote site 3 etc....

With the my application, i would like to able create the DFS
namespaces (shares) and select the remote site to setup the sync with.

Creating the folders and local shares no problem. just dont know how
to go about creating the DFS share, which librarys/references i need
to start.

Thanks

Barry

In the "empty classes as c structs?" thread, we've been talking in some detail about my proposed "generic objects" PEP. Based on a number of suggestions, I'm thinking more and more that instead of a single collections type, I should be proposing a new "namespaces" module instead. Some of my reasons: (1) Namespace is feeling less and less like a collection to me. Even though it's still intended as a data-only structure, the use cases...

I'm confused about the proper use and usefulness of namespaces. I beleive I understand the purpose is so the developer can put classes within namespaces to essentially organize your code. And I understand that you declare your intention to use a namespace within a page through the "Inherits" attribute. I know that using "Inherits" isn't absolutely necessary, it's just recommended so the developer doesn't have to type out the entire...

Hi I would like to create a compiled library .net code which I can use in my apps using imports and with references like mynamespace.myclass.mothod1. What is the way to create such libraries? From an organizational point of view, do I need to have one namespace in a single file or can I spread it over several files? Thanks

This is a little complicated to explain but I have some web services on a machine that work great. The problem is that I have run into a situation where I need to set up my program to access one or another (could also be 3) different web servers to use these Web Services. The Web Services are identical on all the machines. I tried just changing the URL of the Web Services and cannot make it work. I then decided to create 2 identical web...

Hi, First of all, a confession. This is a cross post from the microsoft.public.dotnet.general list. I posted there not realising that this list existed. Apologies to those who read both lists. I'll do my best to prevent two separate conversations developing. I'm trying to create an XML Document. This is what I want to end up with:

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
