Hi,
I'm a newbie at Perl and CGI and hoping someone can point me in the
right direction.
Recently I've been going through an older book I have on CGI programming
to get a start. Most of it involves using Perl 5 though. The book is
"Sams Teach Yourself CGI Programming In A Week", by Rafe Colburn. Until
recently, things were going smoothly. Then, depending on the script
that I'd copy from the book, I'd start getting "Premature end of...

I need a quick little scrpit to place on a web page that will count
how many days have passed since January 1, 1970. I have ZERO
experience writing ANY scripts. Anyone have any suggestions?
As for what is displayed on the screen, I just want it to say:
Today is: 12578 (or however many days have passed since that date.)

I'm using the book Programming Python and I just tried the first CGI script. This is the script:

print "<H1>A First CGI script</H1>"
print "<P>Hello, CGI world!</P>
And this is what it looks like when I open my browser (er... IE), and look at it:

I have a web app running on the windows CE device. In one of the asp.net
pages - it has javascript code. That seems to have a memory leak.
When I run the web app - in about one hour, the app hangs. I looked at the
memory and it seems to be full.
I removed all the javascript code - and the app seems to be have no leaks.
As soon as I include my javascript code - the memory consumption gradually
increases.
Whether I actually invoke the...

Comming from JSP-HTML when I hear 'script' I think of JavaScript or perhaps
VBScript. But I think in ASP.NET they mean something else? I am bit confused
now.
Reading a book I see the following:
A simple Web page may look like the following.

<%@ Page Language="VB" %>

Note: You may skip to the end of the article if all you want is the perl code.
Introduction
Many websites have a form or a link you can use to download a file. You click a form button or click on a link and after a moment or two a file download dialog box pops-up in your web browser and prompts you for some instructions, such as “open” or “save“. I’m going to show you how to do that using a perl script.
What You Need

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
