I believe themes are handled automatically by the operating system, so
you shouldn't have to do anything different than you would for XP.
Thanks,

No, the controls have no any changes when you change Windows Vista theme.

ASP.NET 2 (VB)
I'm experimenting with MS VWD and .NET2. I'm tinkering with the Code Behind
method as demonstrated on MS's tutorial at
http://www.asp.net/QuickStart/aspnet/doc/pages/codebehind.aspx#codebehind .
Yet, when I follow the example and apply it to my own little test, I get a
server error of:
Parser Error Message: Could not load type 'PasswordClass'.
Line 1: <%@ Page language="VB" CodeFile="CodeFiles/forgotpwd_aspx.vb"

I need to run a .NET1.1 program in a .NET2.0 CLR. The .NET1.1 exe
starts correctly in .NET2.0. Now I want to debug in Visual Studio 2005.
But when I try to open the .NET1.1 project, Visual Studio wants to
convert it to .NET2.0 what I don't want.
How can I make Visual Studio open a .NET1.1 project for me in order to
attach to a .NET2.0 process in which it runs to debug it?
Or is there a better way to reach my goal: debugging a .NET1.1...

Hi,
I converted my .Net1.1 application (written in VS2003) to a .Net2.0
application. I let VS2005 do the job as it suggested when trying to
load my VS2003 project in VS2005.
I then included the output exe from this project into my VS2005 setup
project. I used it as a custom action.
I then built the whole thing and installed it.

Does anybody know why my Office 2003 apps including Access have taken
on a blue theme when running under Windows Vista irrespective of which
"Window Color and Appearance" I choose in Control Panel? It doesn't
seem to matter if I'm running Aero or Vista Basic.
Access 2000 is not affected and has the bog standard grey toolbars
etc.
Under XP the blue theme only appeared in Office apps if the blue XP
theme was chosen. If another theme...

To demonstrate my problem, I have a very simple VB Windows application. It
has a text box that is used to display a counter, a button to reset the
counter, and a timer that increments the counter every second.
I remote desktop to the computer hosting this application and run the
application. It starts up and displays the counter incrementing every
second. If I disconnect the network cable between the two computers for 10
seconds and...

Dear all,
I have a VB 6 application (VB 6.0 with MS Access) working well in all other Windows versions like Windows XP, 2000 etc. But it shows the error "Run-time error '713': Application-defined or object defined error" while executing the program (.exe) from Windows Vista (all versions). What may be the problem with Vista? I tried with Administrator rights and compatibility mode set to Windows XP SP2 but it shows the same error. SAME PROGRAM...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
