I have created a form with some labels that I have translated into
french and englich, default language is german.
I can switch languages by code no problem.
But when I run this sample on a french windows I still get all the
german labels on startup. Doesn't .NET not realise that I have
installed a frend Win2K? Is there anything I have to add to my code to
achieve this?

Could you be more precise? Do you want to print a pre-
defined text or random text? Do you want the user to
select it, or look it up in the regional settings of
windows?

I am wondering, if it's effective to use text arrays to store
multilanguage information.
We used to do it like this:
CREATE TABLE product (
id serial NOT NULL,
price float4,
...
)

Is there any way to enable exception throws in VS 2005, that occur during
binding operations?
I am upset that i can't see exceptions that are thrown during binding
operations. It's very hard to track down erroneous behaviour of your app if
you can't see where the problem is... i mean it's realy hard to debug
binding issues and it would be realy of help if i could somehow enable this
during debug session.

Subject: Error is Object doesn't support this property or method
I am trying to pass a C# string under Vs2005 (Net2) to an Vb6 ActiveX
Control.
I get the following runtime error--
"Object doesn't support this property or method"
Yet the Intellisense shows the following--
axMainViewJ1Obj1.AddFileJ1(ref string str);

I need to provide multilanguage support to my application. I alredy
writed a multilanguage test application, using VS6 and resource only
dll. Now i'm using Visual Studio 2005, I find out that it supports
multilanguage through .resx file, but I can't find a good example that
explains me how to do this.
I appreciate very much if you can point me to good documentation or
examples, or if you can give me some tips.
Regards

How to implement multilanguage support for a program in VC++ in MSVS .NET?
What I mean by this is how to make texts, such as texts on command buttons,
labels, etc. show in different languages, depending on the language choice of
the user (of course, not that I would be translating these personally, but it
would be nice if only a support for this was there).
Also, I want to make my program read information it needs from an SQL database...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
