Interface not Registered

I have recently installed VB.Net 2003 on my new PC. When I create a new
windows application I can build the solution with no errors. I then add a
setup project (I have tried both the Wizard and the Setup Project), I then
try to rebuild the solution and I get an error message e.g. C:\Sample.exe -
Interface not Registered. If I rebuild one of my previously developed (on old
PC) windows application I don't get the same error and the Build is always
successful. Has anybody any idea what the problem may be?

Connull,

Without knowing the Interface you have the problem with then maybe it will
be easier to go to the Add/Remove program applet & repair the installation

I have tried to Repair VS.Net and that didn't help. I even uninstalled and
re-installed VS.Net but I still had the same problem. I also downloaded the
service pack to see if that would help but still the same problem. The
Sample.exe I am referring to is my Windows Application.

Hi, I am quite new to Python, PythonCom and COM generally. As a former Java programmer, I have found Python's flexible ability to access native Win32, especially COM, very comfortable. However, there is quite little on-line documentation and examples available about PythonCOM. The only good sources I have found were the sample chapter from Mark Hammond's book and some decades old PowerPoint show. I have a following problem:

I have an application that is composed of a set of "Content" dlls and a viewer application. The viewer calls a standard set of functions that are present in all the dlls. I maintain this by making my contnent dlls implement an interface created in vb6. The viewer application is bound to this interface. This way, I am able to add Content without redeploying the dlls (I just have to add the new dlls). I want to write new content for...

all, not sure what the best place to post this one, hopefully someone can help because this is a real show stopper. i am getting the error shown below when i try to build a deployment project. all the projects build fine, but when vs.net starts to create the msi the error occurs. i am seeing this same (the file sometimes differs) error on two different machines so i don't think it is related to the computer. i have uninstalled...

I'm probably missing something horribly obvious but this is the first time I've used the managed extensions for C++ and the documentation seems to indicate that what I am doing should work. I am developing a shim to allow users to develop managed add-ins for an unmanaged product. I have developed a library in MC++ with a public interface that all add-ins must implement. At start up I read a config file to find all the registered...

According to OO, interface is just a bunch of definitions, no implementation at all. It's also true when we write our own code in .NET. But I find every interface provided by .NET has specific implementation. For example. Control.Invoke Method Executes a delegate on the thread that owns the control's underlying window handle because it is implemented ISynchronizeInvoke.Invoke. Why? Thanks in advance

(Sorry about the previous post, it got transmitted before it was complete) We try to separate implementation and interface defintions, but we run into a problem. I hope the guru's can solve this, as we seem to lack only a single 'step' to have "full separation"... We have a first project, namespace Ninterface, that contains the interface definitions in class1_interface.cs, like this: namespace Ninterface { public interface IClass1{

Hi, im trying to do something and just been caught off guard. I want to implement an interface but only for certain class, but of course when i derive from this base class the derived class also inherits the interface. public class Base : IGetType { protected byte m_type; object IGetType.TypeIdentifier

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
