Hi,
I have a extended datagrid, in which I am setting values
at a given cell in the grid using
grid = val;
The grid has NewRow creation set to false
But sometimes setting value at a existing row is adding
newrow in the grid, which is staying temporarily and when

I have a bound combobox the appears on a cell within the column of my bound
grid when the user clicks on a cell n(In my vb.net WinForm app).
I am trying to allow the adding of an item to that bound combo by allowing
the user to dynamically type in the new value directly in the combo box
whcih in turn updates the lookup table and then when they have finished
leaves that particular cell on the grid with the correct value.

I want to fire a database update off of a single change to a single cell in
the datagrid. This apparently cannot be done using keypress, keyup, keydown,
etc. I've read George Shepard's FAQ and while I may have overlooked it, I
have not found an answer. I now am using the CurrentCellChanged event, and
this is satisfactory IF the user moves off of the cell before closing the

i need a datagrid with 2 header columns. The top one might have 1
column spanning 5 columns of the header row below it.
what is the best way to do this? Could i have 2 datatables...1 filling
the top row, and the 2nd header row would come from the 2nd datatable?
In this case, i guess i would have to add a row manually above the
header row (2nd dataset) which is the set of 1st data?

Hi,
I would like to display a Checkbox and a string value in each cell of
DataGrid. I am trying to bind it with Custom user control consist of a
Textbox and a check box. The size of DataGrid (both rows and columns) are not
of fixed size. I am using Visual Studio 2002/2003 IDE for development. Are
there any extra feature for this availble in VS 2005?

hi all,
I added a html table with 2 rows inside the itemtemplate of my gridview.
It works ok, but the table border never touches the border of my gridview
cell.
How should I do if I want the internal table and my grid cell share the same
border, so noone realizes that there is a table inside my cell?
