I need to get a list of all files in a particular virtual directory on
a web site, such as -
http://www.myServer.com/FileStore
I tried using the directory functions, but this doesn't work.
if($dirHandle = opendir("http://www.myServer.com/FileStore/"))

Thank you for your previous help.
I posted regarding listing the names of files held in a folder on the server
and making the
list appear clickable. This has now been accomplished. The files are
listed - The files are clickable -

Is it possible to read a list of files from a specified directory using
VB.net
We have company intranet and I have created a page that displays photos from
different events.
I have coded a page that display images from a particular directory and
named the files Pic1.jpg, Pic2.jpg etc. My code then cycles through the
images and displays them in the browser. I store the current image number in
a session variable and apply it to the image...

Hi all,
I am new to the list and I didn't want to seem rude at all so I
wanted to ask if this was okay first.
I have a program I have written in perl which uses a postgresSQL
database as the backend. The program works but the performance is really
bad. I have been reading as much as I can on optimizing performance but
still it isn't very reasonable. At one point I had my program able to
process 175,000 records in 16min 10sec on a...

Hi
My project has a form, two list boxes (lstArchive and lstSchedule) and two
buttons (btnSendArchive and btnSendSchedule)
Each list box represents the content of a directory. The command buttons
move the selected item out of one directory and into the other and refreshes
the list boxes to reflect the change in directory contents
I now want to add "context menu" functionality to the list boxes to preform

I would like to use the power of Python to build some list structures
for me.
Namely i have organized a bunch of folders that have soundfiles in them
and would like Python to slurp up all the .aif/.aiff (or .wav whatever)
files in a given set of directories. My friend hacked up this is perl:
$files = `ls /snd/Public/*.aiff`;
@snd_filelist = split('\n',$files);

I have a program which saves time stamped files into time stamped
directories.
When I want to read these files, I get the current date and check for the
existence of the directory using....
while (!(_chdir(dirname)) == 0)
{reduce the directory name (time) and check again}
This method quickly finds the last directory but I don't know anything about

Hi, I am trying to get a program working whereby directory and file
names are read into a list. I have been given the original list
structure - it appears that the directory names should be added to the
list, then the filenames added to another separate but connected list
within each directory node.
So far I have the program working in that the directory and file names
are all added to the list, i.e. it currently doesn't distinguish...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
