After the effort of getting most of Python 2.3.4 Final compiled in
MinGW (see: http://mail.python.org/pipermail/python-list/2004-June/225967.html,
and get the patch and read more about it here:
http://jove.prohosting.com/iwave/ipython/pyMinGW.html), allow me to
report that it is now also possible to compile and build most of
python24a3 in MinGW as well.

Hi,
I need to debug my app. under Windows 98. Although VS.net can't be installed
it I have been able to install both Framework 1.1 and the SDK.
Can I debug the app. in VS.net remotely from an XPSP2 system over a peer to
peer network ?
Although both machines can see each other fine, DCOM seems to jump in when I
try to connect to the Win98 machine in Debug>Processes>Name and tells me the

Used to read newsgroup for answers, now have to ask for them as well.
I have an application (C#, .NET 1.1) that connects to local db on MSDE
2000 SP3a (using ADO from MDAC 2.71) on one side and to a web service
on the other (not relevant I guess). Some stored procedures consume
xml produced by DataSet objects (values as elements) using OPENXML
statements.
The application should be distributed among users having also Win98.

Hello all,
I'm using an Access 97 front-end with a SQL Server 2000 back-end. One
particular bit of code runs a stored procedure to obtain a rowcount
from one of the back-end tables. This works fine on one PC, but not on
another. For the life of me, I can't see why it fails to work in the
'faulty' environment.

petzold's book, programming windows 5th edition. I know the book was
written for people using visual c++ 6, win98/NT before xp came along but
thought it would be ok. My problem is that having lifted an example of code

I have an application written in C# using VS 2003 with MSDE as the database.
The reports use Crystal as provided with VS. The application and reports
work correctly under WinXP, but the reports do not work under Win98.
I have read the info re dbghelp.dll and CRQE.dll under Win98 ad have
implemented the recommendations. This avoids the "Failed to load report"
