Hi,
I need help with deploying ActiveX.
I can run the activex on my computer, but when access from another computer,
it stop running after prompt "Do you want to..." dialog box.

The company I work for has traditionally used COM/ActiveX for the
solutions that it provides. We are in the process of moving to .NET and
a few applications have been written in VB.NET up to this point.
Some of the applications are class libraries which need to be callable
via the COM interface from some of the older applications. Could
someone please explain to me the issues involved in deploying such a
class library?

Is there any way to save a VB 2005 created application as an .MSI install
file? The only method I see is to publish as a .EXE. Curious because I

I have a Visual Basic 6.0 ActiveX Control.
It seems there is no way with VS 2005 to create a similar control for
containers that host ActiverX controls, is this correct ?
I'm thinking of converting the VB 6 project to VC in VS 2005.
This seems to be a very different process.
Where is a good place to start?

Developed my first real app in vb.net 2005. works great on my PC and my
laptop (which also has VB.Net 2005 installed on it)
The app also installs in my friends new Dell laptop

I ran into a problem using a custom ActiveX I wrote in VB 2005.
It has a property that is "indexed" - that is, it has a parameter and
needs to be addressed as (Index) - kinda like this:
MyActiveXControl.MyProperty(Index)
The thing is, VB2005 refuses to recognize that this property exists.
Other - non-indexed - properties work ok, and show up in the little
helper window as I type in the code, but the indexed properties do

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
