Recently and without warning, a report that I was using in my VB.NET
2003 application started to take 10 minutes to load.
It also take thisamount of time to open in the deisgner. I'm using a
ADO.NET XML file as the datasource, so there is no network traffic.
Loking at the task manager, my CPU is low, and the memory isn't
changing.
I have two laptops and anyone off my network can open this report up
without the long delay.
I have tried to save it as a new name, make a change to the report and
re-save it from both the computers that open it with and without the
delay.
We have turned off all Anti-virus services, MS indexing services, and
anything else that might cause the computer to have a delay.
Any help would be greatly appreciated 3 2624
Sometimes they get corrupted. Is the report the other users are opening the
same physical class that you are opening. Suggest you recreate with new name
and test.

Yes, same physical file will open normally on some but not others.
The network admin, has not pushed out any windows or other updates on
or about the time this started failing.

One the 'Some' which open normally, it this consistent each time. IE can you
repeat this operation say twenty times ?
Are you running routed network subnets, and are the working ones on another
subnet ? if so perhaps you are having routing issues.
Finally if you have made no changes, and things have started to go wrong for
some of you it is highly likely that there is something else afoot besides
the report.

Hi,
In my ASP.NET web application project we need to design
crystal reports with Crystal Reports version 8.5
enterpraise edition(Please Note:It is not the Crystal
Reports that comes with VisualStudio.NET). Also the
Crsyatl Report software 8.5 version will not be installed
in the IIS web server which is hosting my ASP.NET web
application. It will be installed in a different server
which has .net and IIS 5.0.

I have a problem with a C++ DCOM application that
prints Crystal Reports with data from Oracle.
The SQL query is relatively complex but when
the report is printed from the Crystal Reports
designer it shows up very fast. When the report
is printed from my application it takes about
ten times as long to get the report to appear.
When printing straight from the Crystal Reports

I have a transaction log file where the DataSet table's Description column
is actually delimited into "subcolumns" based upon the transaction id. I
would like to parse these into separate fields for reporting purposes and am
wondering if anyone knows if this is easily accomplished using the .NET
version of Crystal Reports?
For example, the description column may be reporting on a dataentry error as
follows:
TXNCODE: 1010001

Hi Group,
I've got an interesting problem, I don't know if this is the right group but
I think so because everything I've read about it so far says it's a .net
problem. Here's the problem, we're using crystal reports 9 and vb.net and
we're using the crystalrepotViewer to show our reports. But every time we
open a report the connection to or sql server remains, so if I open 5 forms
with the report viewer I've got 5 sleeping connections in...

Hi all,
I'm new to this whole thing. I have a bunch of text files that are created
by a software at work that keeps info one of our products. Each unit being
calibrated gets a "record" (track by serial number) which is a text file
with data. The data is almost all the same format. There is header info
about the customer, then some more specs about the product then between 5 to
14 rows of calibration data.
The software that controls...

Hi,
Just wondering what a good book is on visual studios 2008 ( or 2005 if no
2008 ) that teaches you how to properly use crystal reports with it.
Or im assuming that as long as I can create a dataset and link it to a
reportviewer than any Crystal Report book will do.
I use vb.net but im assuming most books would show you vb and c

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
