I have a form where the user enters the Model info. The user picks
the Model from either a combobox or listbox which both are filled from
the Models table. If the Model type isn't in the boxes, then the user
can click a button and add a new Model to the Models table. When the
user clicks the "Add new Model" button, a pop-up Form opens the user
types in the new Model name into a text box and a new record is added
to the Models table and...

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone can help me with a really annoying problem I have
been having. I made a derived datagrid class that will select the row when
a user clicks anywhere on a cell (multi-select without modifier keys). I
got that working fine, but I also wanted to keep rows selected after a sort,
which I do by storing the row's id in an arraylist. The idea was to do the
sort and then go back and re-select the rows with that...

Hi,
I am working in MS Access 2000 and have created two forms. Form 1 is
called frmParent (which has a subform called SfrmChild). FrmParent has
a list box that lists all the Last Names of parents in the db. Clicking
on one of the lastname of parent in the list box shows children of
selected parent in the SfrmChild. I have a button on frmParent that
opens up a pop up form where user can add children to the selected
parent. My problem is...

I have a datagridview control and a button on the windows form. I am
adding a new row in button click event. When the number of rows grow,
the newly added row will not be
visible but a scroll bar will be shown.
I want the program to highlight the newly added row and make it visible
in the datagridview by scrolling to that position when a new row was
added by button click event. How can you do that? Thanks in advance.

I've just added a new record to the backend DB and reloaded the
TreeView that shows the user all records in the DB.
Now I want to programatically position the TreeView at the newly-added
record and have it that branch of the tree selected.
Anybody know how to do this?

We are using .net Framework 1.1
We are having one page on which we are using this Grid component.
From this page we open a popup for adding new record as well as for editing
an existing record (For Edit we want to pass the ID of that particular row)
And when user clicks on 'SAVE' button in popup window, those changes need to
be reflected onto the parent (into the Grid). This happens by refreshing the
parent page. But in that case all...

Hi,
I'm using an objectdatasource. The insert procedure called by the
objectdatasource is in a separate library file outside of the aspx and
the codebehind that is using the objectdatasource in question (I guess
that separate file would be called a bll).
I had originally used the parameter list method to pass the
inserted values to thie insert procedure which also gave me the
ability to add a retun parameter to access the newly...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
