Just instaled the new Office 2007, and the new layout is really cool. Will
there be any upgrades to VS 2005 Pro that will include new controls whith a
smilar look and feel as that you get in Office 2007?

I don't think so, which means that Microsoft didn't announce any public
plans. However, other control manufacturers will likely ship similar
controls.

Andy,
In addition to the other comments.
Historically: Office ships with new controls, subsequent versions of the OS
inherits the controls, subsequent versions of the developers tools support
the OS controls.
In other words Office 2007 & Vista are shipping "now"; I would expect
Vista+1 or Vista+2 to gain the controls in Office 2007; The VS that ships
about when Vista+2 ships may gain said controls.

Gene,
Thanks for the link, I've seen a couple of the other Ribbon clones; I had
not seen this one yet. From their web site, this one looks truer to the
Office Ribbon.

I have a question for Beth Melton.
Hello. This is Ray. I read an answer you graciously gave to another user about the constant popping up of "Windows Installer - Preparing to install". I cannot find anything to eliminate this headache and would be grateful for your insight and suggestions.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:

Here is the code in...
