I am trying to change an icon associated with my application's main form and
the application itself.
1. I selected my main form in IDE "Solution" tab and went to "Properties"
window.
2. I found "Icon" property, browsed for and selected a new icon.
3. I noticed the icon changed on my form
4. Ran my application and sure thing, the new icon replaced the default .NET
icon.

How difficult is it to hide my program in the system tray? It's not something
that's required, but it'd look to add it since the program will be writing an
ascii file every minute. And it wouldn't too elegant to have it in the
taskbar.

I am writing a program that primaryly runs in the system tray. When the
program starts, I would like to hide the main form and only show the tray
icon.
in the Form Load event I set Me.Visible = False, but this does not hide the
form. In the Form Activate event, if I set the same thing, the form is
never displayed.
There has got to be an easy way to do that I am overlooking.

Hello. I've written an app that I want to "live" in the system tray.
I want it to start up with just a tray icon showing, and if the user
selects "Settings..." from the icon's context menu, to display a
window that will allow him to change settings. When he hits "OK" or
"Cancel", the window should hide again.
At first, I tried putting a "Me.Visible = False" in the form's Load
event, but apparently that code runs before the command can...

Hi,
I am trying to create a form with the following
attributes:
1. A sizable border
2. Min, Max, and Close buttons
3. No icon in the upper left hand corner
All of this can be accomplished using the Sizable
FormBorderStyle, but the icon remains. I read something
about needing to overload CreateParams to disable the
icon. Does anyone know how to do this?

I assigned icon for a window's form using form's Icon property at design
time. Now I want to change the icon. I tried to replace the old icon with
the new icon using form's Icon property. Somehow in the form's property
window's Icon property has changed to new icon, but on the form it still
uses the old icon. Then I tried to set Icon property to None, and it

Hi there
I am trying to write an "application" in Access 2000, that displays a front
end and allows the user to interact with the database without seeing Access
loaded, in the background, nor on the taskbar.
When I click on the generate report button, from the front-end's form, no
report/query is displayed. However, if i disable the code that "hides"
Access, the reports and queries work perfectly.
