Special Folder in Setup

Hi, I've made some setups, I know how to add folders to my app folder,
to the desktop, etc... But, I've face a new problem. In my new app, I
need a folder in c:/, which contains an access database.
So, I need in my setup to create a folder named for example "myfolder"
(c:\myfolder) and add the mdb there.
I've tried many options and can't find the solution, I'm sure it must
be really easy, but I'm not able to find it.
Anybody knows how to do that?
Thanks in advance

Hi! My trouble might be simple, but I'm quite new to php, and, perhaps I'm even more simple. It's that I had to chmod 777 two folders to get my scripts do what I wanted them to do, and I don't like it. I have a script running on my ISP's unix-apache -server. It is to read string from a form, and create a text-file in a subfolder 'txt' from it. The essential parts of the script is here:

I'm trying to setup a small ASP app that our Accounts department can use to kick off database procedures through a browser. To do this I need the ASP page to kick off a preprepared .VBS script file. I've made some good progress on this, but have hit a brick wall and dont know where to go next. I have setup a basic HTML form which submits a request to an ASP page. The ASP page creates a WSCRIPT shell on the server and runs the...

I've created a web setup project for my aspnet app, and added a web folder item "tmp" to the File System editor under the web application folder. (My app uses this folder for generating image files and such) Problem is, I can't figure out how to make this folder writable by the ASPNET user during installation.I've set the writable property for the new folder object, but it doesn't give the permission to the ASPNET user.

I have serveral web sites that I need to deploy using a Visual Studio 2005 Web Setup Project. The target IIS has both .NET 1.1 and 2.0 installed. So, I need the setup project to set the ASP.NET Version property on the new virtual folder. The setup does everything else correctly, it creates the virtual folder, copies the files, creates the application.

Hi all, I'm building an application, that should be started from the SendTo Menu. My Setup-Project puts a link into the SendTo Menu. But this works only for the User running the Setup. Even if the user selects 'for all users' while Setup, the link is only put into the SendTo-Folder of the current users, not for the others. Does anyone know a way, how to put it in the SendTo-Folder of all users? Thanks

Hi, I want to change the default installation folder to my own path. I did it by changing the application folder's DefaultLocation property. The installation works fine as long the path that I give is complete path. If I give relative path, there is an error. The path is relative to the location of my solution folder. Just to be more clear, I have several projects in my solution. The setup project contains one executable as the primary...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
