Export dataset to Excel setting Excel cell type.

I have an application that is trying to export multiple datasets to and
excel workbook in different worksheets. I have gotten the export to
work except for string fields that happen to be numbers being converted
to a number field. For example one value in a string field is "0008"
and when I export into excel it turns into 8.

I know when I manually import a csv file into excel I have to option to
say what type of field a specific column will be in excel like dates,
text and number fields.

Anyone know how to specifically set the what kind of data is going to
be in the excel column?

This is a windows application and I am using VB.net and SQL.

I'm trying to export data to an Excel worksheet. I can export the data in the cell values perfectly. I need the code to change a header and footer for the worksheet, not for the columns. Is this possible? If so, I really need the code immediately. Thank you, Elena

Hello, Below is my code for exporting a datagrid to Excel. It works fine, but we're hoping to format the output as well - setting the font size and type, and giving each column a specific width, possibly bolding some text. Currently we are using a macro to do this, but we would like the report to be formatted when it's generated so that a macro will be unnecessary. Thanks! Hi, Im not very experienced with XSL, this is my first run in with it. I found an XSL file that converts a dataset to an excel readable format. The problem I have is when the dataset has a null value for a column, it does not add an empty element for the column. Is there any way I can detect this? Excel.xsl: <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:spreadsheet"

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
