Hi,
How to get in code the "publish version" of an application. Seems Assembly
version is not the same as publish version.

I want frmMain.text to show the current publish version.
What is the code to get the current publish version?
For example.
frmMain.text = "My Application Version: " & project.publish.version
But I don't know how to call the project.publish.version numbers.

When I publish an application with ClickOnce, I specify Major, Minor, Build,
and Revision numbers for the Publish Version, for example as 1, 0, 0, 97. But
when I view the version of the exe file in explorer, or get it
programatically, it comes back as 1.0. 0.0.
The code I use is
FileVersionInfo fvi =
FileVersionInfo.GetVersionInfo(Application.ExecutablePath);
string version = fvi.FileVersion;

I have been making changes to my Windows Application and in the
Project/Properties the Publish Version shows the following:
Major: 1
Minor: 0
Build: 0
Revision: 45
I would like to show this information in the "About Screen" and I have:
My.Application.Info.Version

I posted in another group but thought this was the better place to post,
since it had to do with the vb language

We are using c# windows forms and just trying to get started with .net. I
want to do something that should be easy but I can't find any way to make it
work. We are using Click Once to publish to a network drive and I need to be
able to check if a program is the current version. Because the users can
choose to not download the latest version this may be a problem. I just want
to show what version they are running.
I found some code that...

Hi,
I use the publish feature within Vs.net 2008, and have it set to increment
on each build/publish
I want to be able to display this as my application version number, but can
not see how to access the information.
application.productversion doesn't seem to access/use the publish version.

Dean,
You can retrieve the "publish version" number from the Project Settings using this:
If (System.Deployment.Application.ApplicationDeployment.IsNetworkDeployed) Then
Dim verDeployed As System.Version = My.Application.Deployment.CurrentVersion
End If

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
