I want my custom controls to have customer bitmaps but I can't get them to
work if I try to pull the icon from a resource file.
I know that I can add the icon to the project as an embedded resource then
put the attribute.
That works fine. But I would really like to put the icon in a resource file
MyControl.resx then use it as the icon. Has anyone ever gotten this to
work. Or has anyone figured out how to compile .ico files as...

I cannot made visible the toolbox bitmap for my controls.
I did the following:
- Namespace : foo
- Assembly: foo.dll
- Toolbox bitmap stored in subdirectory Resources. Resource bitmap defined
as embedded resource: MyControl.bmp
- Then the control toolboxbitmap attribute is defined like this:

ToolboxBitmapAttribute to work -- my image simply will not display in the

I am trying to understand Attribute usage. For example the class
SerializableAttribute is a class correct? So why when it is actually u
sed the "Attribute" portion of the name is dropped. The sam is true of
the AttributeUsageAttribute class and on and on. I don't get it.
