I have a class that among others exposes a string property "Date". The
date in this property is stored in the form yyyymmdd. Now I do the
following
1) Generate a DataGridViewTextBoxColumn column for that property
2) Add the column to the datagridview
3) Populate a BindingSource by adding all instances of the above
mentioned class.
4) Assign the BindingSource to the datagridview's DataSource property

Hi,
I'm writing a winform app (as practice) that has as one of its features a button that reads an xml file to a datagridview.
No matter what I do I get two columns instead of one.
The "first column", I retrieve and place the text "Holy Cat" in its header text. This column contains no data from the xml file.
The second column contains the correct data from the xml file.

Can anyone tell me the best way to update a dataset while it is being
edited/viewed in the DataGridView control? Is this something that
should be inserted into one of the grid's events? or should you update
after closing the grid/form, etc.?
Also, can you tell me the best book to buy that fully explains the
DataGridView control?

I'm currrently investigating a bug within a piece of our software whereby if
a DataGridView (bound directly to a DataTable) is ordered by column headers
(containing lookup combo boxes where the value is the foreign key of another
table), although the DataGridView is ok, the DataTable becomes out of sync.

This is on .Net 2.0 in a WinForms application.
I have a DataGridView that is bound to a BindingSource. The
DataGridView has 3 columns. The first two are "normal" text columns and
the last is a combo box column.
Data binding is working fine for the first two columns. I am able to
edit values and persist them back to the bound object and ultimately
back to the database.

I need to know all events that can be generated in a datagridview. In
particularly I'd like to find a list describing the dependencies of
each event.
In Exemple: first there is a rowValidating, second a rowValidated and
finally a selectionChanged (naturally there are a lot of others events
inside).

I have a datagridview control, and one column is a ComboboxColumn. I
simply create a ComboboxColumn, add items to it, then add the column
to the Datagridview control.
If I were working with a simple ComboBox, I could capture an event
that fired everytime the selected item changed. Is that possible if
