My project (VS 7.1) builds and run OK on my Windows 2K PC, but when I clean
the solution and copy it over to a Windows XP PC in our lab I get loads of
error, (see below) I cant seem to find the cause.
The code HAS NOT changed!
I did check that the copied project still builds on the Windows 2K PC and it
does.

Hello, all. I have a problem with VS.NET 2003: Everytime it's starting up,
it brings up a window saying: "Please wait while Windows configures MSDN
Library for Visual Studio .NET 2003." It then takes a good 10 minutes to do
its configuration. I've uninstalled VS and MSDN and re-installed both; I've
run the repair on both, but no results. It's like the registry is messed up
and not getting cleaned with the uninstalls. I spend all day today...

I have an ASP.NET application that I've developed using Visual Studio
..NET 2003 and I'm making use of Crystal Reports for .NET that's
included to return reports back to the visitor's web browser in PDF
format.
Up to this point, I've had no problems with the application in both
the development environment (local workstation with Windows 2K) and
deployed in production (on a Windows 2003 Server) both with .NET
Framework 1.1.

Hi,
Since '95 I have been a contractor develoing applications using Borland
Delphi (Object Pascal) creating win32 C/S stuff.
Having recently completed amy last contract I decided to try my hand at
dotNet stuff.
I downloaded the trial version of Visual Studio 2003. So far I learned some
C# for win32.
I like C# very much (very similar to Object Pascal) and want to extend my
experience to ASP.NET
web applications.

I have a windows service that want to un-install. When I run "installutil /u serivcename" I get the error that the serivce is not installed on my machine. However, when view the serivce console I still see my service there. What must be done to remove a windows service written in VB.Net from my system.
I'm trying un-install the service because I'm compiling it as a console application to perform debugging. I think it will be easier to...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies.
