How can I obtain the network IP Address

I want to be able to retrieve an ip address:

At the moment I have to do the following
OBTAIN A DOS WINDOW
ROUTE PRINT
From this I obtain the IP Address from the dos window thus....
Network Destination Netmask Gateway Interface Metric
127.0.0.0 255.0.0.0 127.0.0.1
127.0.0.1 1

I need to be able to retrieve this gateway address.

From this I need to set two ROUTE ADD operations adding this address to the
end of the string.

Eg:(numbers substituted for security reasons)
ROUTE {space} ADD {space} nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn {space} mask {space}
255.255.255.255 {space} 127.0.0.1

Can anyone please advise me on how I can do this in vb.net 2005
