DataGridView : active-row versus Selected-row ???

cc
Hi,

using the DataGridView (.NET 2005) :
after I fill the Grid with some records is the first record highlighted
(selected).

When I programmaticall y select the 2nd row in the Grid and deselect the
first one by executing
dataGridView1.R ows[0].Selected = false
dataGridView1.R ows[1].Selected = true

is the activerow still the first one.
Can be seen because of the triangle that is shown in the Grid in front of
the first row.

How can I set the 2nd row as activerow ?

thnx
Chris

cc.

Assuming that you mean active cell

Be aware that it is Column Row,

I hope this helps,

Hi, I'm trying to hide the selection in the DataGridView when it's not the active control (users are complaining that it appears active). Is there anyone who has done this before? There's no HideSelection member like in other classes. I can set teh CurrentCell to null and it will remove it, but I don't want to lose the CurrentCell (or an extremely elaborate hack) :) Thanks, Josh

Hi, Forgive me for posting this message in 2 groups -- it appears that the Data Access group isn't very active, so I'm posting again here: I have a DataTable that I want to fill using a DataGridView. I've set the DataSource of the DataGridView to my DataTable. My problem is that I want some of the columns to be drop downs. For example, the user will need to enter a "product" into one of the columns. There is a list of "products" in...

Hello, I am reading data from a sql server table that is under replication. This table has the replicatin GUID column that is generated with replicatin. I am reading the data from a dataAdapter/Dataset using a dataview which is the data source for a datagridview control. When I scroll horizontally in the datagridview control and reach this GUID column (which is not at the end of the table) it raises the datagridview dataError event. ...

I have been searching all over the web for a way to sort a DataGridView based on the actual text being shown in a ComboBox column as opposed to the underlying value (an ID in this case). Can anyone tell me if this is even possible, and if so, how to do it? If this is completely impossible, how would you suggest going about sorting a ComboBox wherein the text displayed in the column is the client's name, and the underlying value is an ID? ...

Is there an equivalent of the DataGrid's DataGridTableStyle for the DataGridView? If not, is there an easy way to duplicate the DataGridTableStyle's functionality for the DataGridView? Here's the background for my question... Before I switched my application over to the Fx 2.0, I used a DataGrid to display my data. I would store different DataGridTableStyles (each one with a custom set of columns) in the DataGrid.TableStyles property...

I have a very large DataGridView. When the user is done entering data, they click a button to perform calculations. The last cell the user entered data on remains highlighted (blue in my case). This ruins the other highlighting scheme I added to the calculations. How can I remove this highlight from the grid? Setting focus elsewhere doesn't help. Thanks

I have DataGridView in virtual mode containing 3500 rows. In code below, assigning to RowCount value to 3500 takes 8 seconds. CPU usage goes high at this time. Stepping by F11 into user code shows few celltemplate property getters and combobox/datecombo constructor calls without database access which does not take a lot of time. Debug output (below) shows lot of messages Stepping over non-user code. Running in release mode from...

I have problem with using DataGridView as it uses a lot of CPU. I have a display function as follows: display(int i, int j) { if (Convert.ToDouble(dataGridView1.Rows.Cells.Value) < Math.Round(opv.sigma, 2)) dataGridView1.Rows.Cells.Style.BackColor = Color.Blue; else if (Convert.ToDouble(dataGridView1.Rows.Cells.Value) > Math.Round(opv.sigma, 2))

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
