Help turning off dynamic error checking

Hello,

Does anyone know how to turn off the constant error checking that
VB.NET performs in the background while code is being edited? I am
working on a migration project and VS finds thousands of errors in my
solution. It slows down my PC so badly that it is hard to get anything
done at all. I have a 2.8GHz P4 with 2gig of RAM.

I have searched everywhere I can think, including this newsgroup and
haven't found anything yet.

Thanks for your help!

Eric

Hello, is there a way to turn off dynamic help from displaying when clicking F1??? Every time I call help on a word the external MSDN opens up (just as I want) BUT also the dynamic pane inside the Visual Studio (VS .NET 2003) opens up. I've looked in the VS options and have found no way to disable it from always poping out!! Bob Rock

I have a program (posted below) that is supposed to take liters, which is the user input, and convert it to pints and gallons. The pints and gallons are displayed in a read only textbox. I don't understand how to fix the problem. 'declaring variables Dim totalLiters As Double = Convert.ToDouble(txtLiters.Text) Dim totalPints As Double = Convert.ToDouble(txtPints.Text)

I have a file with a list of times in it in the form hh:mm:ss. The file starts with a single INT like 460. That int is the number of times in the file so I can size my dynamic array correctly. I had to create my array as a type string because of the colons in it. I need to be able to save it in type INT so I can do addition and subtraction on it. I want to be able to add 2 times together or subtract 2 times and get a new time. string...

I'm looping through assemblies and checking CodeBase prior to processing a given assembly. However, I occasionally get this error: The invoked member is not supported in a dynamic module. Which makes sense, but how can I check for this condition before calling CodeBase (i.e., check for the error condition before triggering the error). I didn't see any related properties. Assembly.Location gave the same error.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
