Hey folks, I have an ASP.NET web app that's working just
fine, but a small percentage have two printing problems
that don't happen to the vast majority of users. These
problems are listed below and do NOT appear on the print
preview, but do when they actually print:
Radio buttons aren't printing at all.
Disable values are not printing, like the text in a
disabled text box.

This came out of a thread explaining to "BK" about error BC42025
("Access of shared member through an instance; qualifying expression
will not be evaluated"); Frans Clasener then came up with another
similar problem, which I believe shows up a bug (well, a problem) in
VB2005.
As many will know, VB2005 saw the reintroduction of the 'default
instance' of Form classes, allowing one to write code such as
Form1.Show

Hi all,
Need i simple example on how print/preview data from a database.
I already have some code but I am lost because the preview does not create
multiple pages and only shows the first page and the printing goes over the
margins of the page. My problem is that I cannot figure out how to control
new page when page is getting full. Another problem is that I would like to
have a common place to set headers and footers to be printed every...

I've got a print control written in VB6 that I use for easy printing
reports in VB2005. It works great except for one thing. When I display
the print options dialog, the VB6 OptionButton controls appear black
(see attached pictures).
Has anyone else encountered this problem or know how to fix it?

I have been converting a VB6 project to VB2005 for lo these many months.
Most of my problems have been solved thanks to people like WanYuan Wang and
Mattias Sjogren. But now the Graphics aspect is the problem.
This program gets Heart sounds and ECG trace data from a USB device via an
ActiveX thread and an internal DataReciever thread in the main program. The
display is like an oscilloscope in that it sweeps across the screen in real...

I am presently a user of classic vb6 and hang out on those newsgroups. Some
of you may be aware that there is a very anti MS and vb2005 feeling there. I
have tried to get them to tell me which features of vb2005 are actually
worse then vb6 in practice, and forget the philosophy of backward
compatibility for a moment.
I would now like to hear "the other side". Could *anyone who previously used
vb6* (only those pleased; I feel the others...

I am trying to use the code shown in the VB2005 Help on how "To receive
strings from the serial port". The code was cut and pasted and it gives no
errors when "debugged" in VB2005, but it simply does not seem to do anything.
I'm not to familiar with using methods and functions and that might be the
problem. The code shown uses "My.Computer.Ports.OpenSerialPort" and
"ReadLine" methods. I guess the real question is: If ReadLine is "reading"...

Hello,
I have Visual Studio 2005 Professional. I have been deploying VB2005 apps
using "Click Once" which works great and will add .Net 2.0 framework where
needed and adds all prerequisite files, the Report viewer for printing, com
references, ... Everything works great! on our intranet.
But now I need to add an app to a machine (XP pro) that is not on our
intranet. So I need to create a setup/deploy project. My VS2005 does not...

I have an ASP.NET page that displays work orders in a GridView. In that
GridView is a checkbox column. When the user clicks a "Print" button, I
create a report, using the .NET Framework printing classes, for each of the
checked rows in the GridView. This works fine in the Visual Studio 2005
development environment on localhost. But, when I move the page to the web
server, I get the error "Settings to access printer...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
