Office 2000/XP/2003 style Pop-up Menu

Hi,

what the best way to create an
Office 2000/XP/2003 style Pop-up Menu?

Are there any samples? Third Party Controls?

Thanks

Pete

If you are using VS 2005: Did you already check the toolbox?

Hi Herfried ,

no, VS2003. What to do in the old version?

Thanks again

I use the Infragistics suite for all my toolbar/menu needs.

Even with VS2005. The VS2005 toolbars/menus are ok, but the
Infragistics ones are much more advanced.

I used the Divelements SandBar/SandDock controls for a while
because a) they are much cheaper than the Infragistics
Suite, b) much easier to configure and get started with, and c)
the docking elements provide the same "targets" as found in
VS2005, but due to a few issues with the docking system in
the Divelements controls, I finally bit the bullet and went for the
Infragistics ones instead. Steep learning curve, though.

Hi Joergen,

I tested DotNetBar from http://www.devcomponents.com/. This seems to work
out for me and is pretty easy to configure. I will check out the
Infragistics controls, als.

Thanks

Looks nice. Cheap too. Will have to check it out sometime.

As for Infragistics: Another reason for choosing the suite
is their grid control, which is the best of its kind I've seen.
If you only need the toolbar/menu stuff, you are probably
better off with a cheaper suite. As I have mentioned before,
the Infragistics toolbar/menu controls take a while to get
to know. I dismissed them on that account for a while, but
eventually bit the bullet due to lack of flexibility in other
components.

My office application is really slow on Windows XP! First, some backgroud stuff. The MSAccess system that we use was developed while using Windows 2000, and Office 2000. Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
