Hi all,
I'm trying to add a user property to an Outlook contact item.
VisualStudio tells me that the method signature was like this:
UserProperties.Add(string Name,Outlook.OlUserPropertyType Type, object
AddToFolderFields, object DisplayFormat)
So, what I do is:
oMyItem.UserProperties.Add("myProperty",Outlook.OlUserPropertyType.olYesNo,
true, XXX???XXX);

I have a routine that uses Late Binding to create a email and put it
into the DRAFTS folder of Outlook. It only works if Outlook is already
launched (Opened by me clicking on my desktop ICON manually). If
Outlook is not previously opened, I'm not sure if they are getting put
into the Inbox folder or are being actually sent and then get received
by me email server and sent down to me (I just see them appear in the
inbox - but not...

Hi -
I am developing an application that needs to automate Microsoft Outlook and
I need to capture the ItemSend event. The PC I'm developing with has Outlook
2003 on; the problem I have is I need to make the code work with Outlook XP
(i.e. 2002)!
The code to add the event is currently:
oOutlook.ItemSend += new Outlook.ApplicationEvents_11_ItemSendEventHandler

Having a problem sending emails through vb.net. Our inhouse software
automatically sends an email to the programming staff whenever an error is
encountered.
This code works just fine on machines that are windows 2000 based. We
recently upgraded from Outlook 2000 to Outlook 2003, and it still works.
We have one machine with XP service pack 1. It works fine there. This also
was upgraded from outlook 200 to outlook 2003.

Happy New Year
I'm having an issue with my Outlook 2003, a VB 6 program written some years ago seems causing an issue after closing Outlook.
I'm logging time data into Appointment folder so after opening App folder and then closing it it seems to work but I canät manually add any data.
This is the code opening Appointment folder and then it is closed by normal Archive/close
Public Sub Appointment()

Hi,
I have a C# application and I'd like it to use Outlook 2003 to send
messages.
I don't want to send them programmaticlly though; I just want to open
the New Messge window, set the recipients and leave it there for the
user to finish filling out.
What classes am I looking for?

How to suppress the Outlook 2003 security prompts from VB2005. When I tried
to look at the body of a message or any other part of an outlook mailItem --
I get these annoying security prompts. I have to loop through several emails
a day.
Is there some code for suppressing this? I saw some articles about a
product called Outlook Redemption which supposed suppresses these messages.
I have not tried it. Anyone know how to use it?

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
