Has anyone seen any source code that shows how to use the serial port in
VB 2005 (System.IO.Port )? Especially how to use the asynchronous read?

code here: http://boycot.no-ip.com/vb/ (it's the bottom link)

Hi,

I have a chapter in my book. The example is for Whidbey, so (naturally)
there is an error when you try to run the project. For now, you have to cut
and paste to VS2005 -- I will update the CD-ROM soon. But, not soon enough
perhaps.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
