Hi Folks,
I'm looking for a way to determine if the client machine has access
installed and if so, what version. The reason I need this is to determine
(programatically) if the Access Runtime is required to be installed and if
not, which version of the program database needs to be installed with the
current version of Access. (hope that makes sense).
If anyonoe could point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it.

Is there a way to set the application binding policy so
that it always binds to the latest version of an
assembly? I'm hoping there is a way to avoid updating the
application's binding configuration every time there is
an update to a shared assembly.

Hi,
Does anyone know of a "definitive" source of JavaScript formatting functions
e.g. to format numbers, dates, currencies etc?
There are loads of examples on the Internet, of course, but I've yet to find
any which are 100% reliable.

Hi,
I got bit by the fact that applications using library files that are NOT
strongly named will use older versions of the library without generating an
error, so........
Is there a way to tell an application "Use the library files you were built
with or NEWER versions" without using the GAC?
I have tried giving my library files strong names, but that locks them to

I've been using the date (in YMMDD) format for the build number in the
AssemblyVersion attribute. However, it appears that numbers 65534 are
invalid!! Bit of a bummer for 2007!!!
Is there a reason for this? 65535 would make sense!?
Is there a work around, patch, etc??

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
