Authentication of my Windows Service

Hi newsgroup

I have a little problem with my windows service.

Before I made the service I made a Windows Application which reads and
writes data with ODBC.

I my Application it worked very good...

After this I made a windows Service with the same functionality. But now I
can't connect to my ODBC Database... a timeout without response happens...

At this time I know now that there is a problem with the windows rights or
authentication of the service in combination with ODBC. But I do not
understand the system; I modified the service to login a an administrator,
but had no luck with this... but there is something with the security...
Must I do something special like Folder security, app.config, authentication
of .net-components (services) in the .NET configuration or something like
this?

Maybe one of you had these problems to? in all cases every little hint would
be a big help for me..

Thanks alot and regars

One of the requirements is that the WS supports Windows Authentication, meaning accepts the username and password the client used to log on to Windows. The WS then needs to see which Active Directory roles the user belongs to and allow the user (or not) to...
