Hello to all,
I've written a script that take quite a long time to execute (email
sending). Last time I ran it, PHP gave me a "execution time limit
exceeded" (or something like that), so I changed the value in php.ini.
Now, the questions are :
- How can I make sure I'm not going to have problems when execution time
lengthens still ? I'm afraid to set too high a time limit in case other
scripts run astray.
- Can I "break" the job into...

Hi
I am using CDO 1.21 from C# in order to iterate through the entries in a users outlook address book (as OOM was too slow). Basically I take the Name field from each "message" and insert it into a ListBox. I shall paste my code at the end, and describe my problem first
If I call my MAPI.Sessions Logoff method when I have finished using it, then this method takes between 1 and 5 minutes to execute, but after that everything is fine
If...

I have a situation that is as follows:
First an Index of what is discussed below:
FED_A ->> Federated Objected/Table that has lots of rows
LOC_B ->> Local Table which is selected and updated.
My data flow works through a Informatica workflow and is therefore not
exactly like a single transaction.

I am calling the method GetInstances() within the ManagementClass. I have 48
applications on my system. Mearly calling the routine takes 28 seconds for
it to return. I don't understand why this method would take so long to
execute. I've tried setting the EnumerationOptions.EnumerateDeep to false
but it doesn't seem to have any impact on the time. Can someone tell me how
to speed up the execution of this method?

The above link shows that C# is 450% slower on something as simple as a nested
loop. Is this because .NET is inherently slower or does the C# compiler merely
produce code that is not as well optimized as the C++ compiler?

We have a package in production which has suddenly started consuming greater than normal time to execute. On debugging this further, we found the following:
The package takes 5 mins to come out.
The queries inside the package, if run seperately, come out in milliseconds in total.
On looking through the sql trace when the package was run, it was found that an insert on a global Temp table is consuming around 5 mins (elapsed = 310 secs). ...

I have a data table with ~1000 rows. I go through the rows one at a time,
checking the contents. If I find a cell with an error, e.g containing null,
I use SetColumnError on the data row to flag it.
Here's my code:
For Each dr As DataRow In MyDataTable.Rows
Dim MyValue As Integer
If dr("ID").Equals(DBNull.Value) Then

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
