Error in msvc in building inheritance.obj to build hello.pyd
Hello,
I am trying to build the boost 1.31.0 sample extension hello.cpp.
I can not compile the file inheritance.cpp because the two
files containing some templates: adjacency_list.hpp and mem_fn.hpp can
not compile.
Does anyone have any solutions?

Out of no where I'm starting to get these problems and my Deployment projects
won't build anymore. Does anyone have any idea what's causing this? I've
tried copying these files from another VS.NET 2003 machine, but it doesn't
look like it's working. The only latest change I've made to my machine was
the Windows Update as of Feb. 8th, 2005. I notcied it included the .NET 1.1
SP1 and I don't know if this might have any relation?

python24.dll is much bigger than python23.dll. This was discussed already on
the newsgroup, see the thread starting here:

I don't think I fully understand the reason why additional .pyd modules were
built into the .dll. OTOH, this does not help anyone, since:
- Normal users don't care about the size of the pythonXX.dll, or the number of

I'm wondering if perhaps MS locked out the ability to produce a release
build when using the RC since it does not have a go-live license? Or maybe

hi all!
i just built revision 41809 under winxp using a rather uncommon
setup (at least i think so). since i have no visual studio here,
i only used freely available tools: cygwin to get the source, the
microsoft compiler/linker and NAnt (nant.sf.net) as the build tool
to interpret the .vcproj-files (which may be the uncommon part).
as far as i understand this setup is not supported in any way, but
i noticed two problems, that could...

have access to the now-ancient Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0, which is why I
cannot use the pre-built debug sysbol files for debugging. So it

version I have is 0.6.6, which has a rather annoying bug that doesn't
let you rename the executable file if you bundle everything in a
