I have a socket application that is sending and receiving packets
asynchronously. It works great except, when I receive packets that are
larger than my receive buffer which then generate several EndReceive
calls... these calls seem to be sometimes coming out of order.
For example, the following is from my log file:
Connection at 5/1/2004 11:39:14 AM
SENT> ZZZ:1:FMZZZ:ID1234:PWAAAA:VR100:\0
RCVD>...

Problem:
We are experiencing an excessive (i.e. 16 - 20 seconds) delay when
attempting to establish socket connection over the network, using the
TcpLister.AcceptSocket() and TcpClient.Connect(ipAddress, Port) calls. It
seems that the delay is between client.Connect() and listener.Accept().
We never have a delay when we use a telnet client to connect to the server.
And we do not have a delay on all networks, just on some. The code we...

I'm getting the following problem occasionally...the application will
work perfectly well for a period of time and then this pops up.
I have tried turning off the default proxy in the web.config which I
had seen on other posts but that did not solve the problem.
Any assistance or ideas would be appreciated
Thanks

Hello out there,
I changed an existing and good working webservice from an wsHttpBinding
to an NetTcpBinding.
This is working (after trying some time) and has real a better performance!
But one thing is strange: when I'm now actualising the web reference
from within VS2008, VS2008
creates a 2nd endpoint config in my app.conf.
The endpoint is exactly the same as the existing but the name and

I have programmed a simple synchronous socket server app in vb.net to
communicate and receive messages from our data integration tool that works
well with all our other systems. The program I built works with as many
messages as I can send accross as long as they are sent one after another
(queued). However once any length of time passes, the server app doesn't
receive any data as if the listener doesnt have the connection any more. I...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
