Formatting Text Automatically for Labels and Textboxes

I have a bunch of text boxes and labels that hold currency values. I
need some formatting on them, but since they are databound to a set, I'm
confused as to how to do that. Do labels and text boxes have some kind
of format string that can auto-apply a format to what ever data is
entered? Is it possible to create a callback-type function that allows
me to specify the formatting (for different currency symbols, etc).

Dealing with multiple currencies is a serious pain in my rear end, I
sure hope .NET has something to make my life easier in this aspect!

Thanks!

I have been using a module for printing labels in Access 97, and although it works fine, I would like to add a small enhancement to it. The module allows for setting the number of labels to print and/or to skip; however, the Cancel command button does not function, nor does clicking the X-close. Clicking either one is the same as clicking the OK button. Since the module creates and displays the dialog box, I will need a piece of code to...

Hi, I have a window based program. One of the form has several textboxes and a datagrid. The textboxes are bind to the same dataset table as the datagrid and the text changes to reflect different row selected in the datagrid. I want to save the changes that user make in the textboxes when they select a different row in the datagrid. I tried capturing the textbox.text at datagrid's CurrentCellChanged event but by then the textbox.text...

I'm dynamically adding a column of labels and a column of text boxes to a panel on a webform, based on data returned from an SQL query, which the user builds by selecting options from a few dropdowns and hitting the 'Search' button. The first column returned is a user name and is added to the panel as a label, the second is a number and is added to the label as the text property of a textbox, so the user can update it. When the...

I have a page using a master page the master page consists of a header and left column table template. In the content area of the default page, I need to place alot of text. I initially had a table with 1 column and a number of rows for each paragraph so there would be space between each chunk of text. However, all the text would not fill up the cells (rows) but instead only about 10 letters on each line appeared with the rest of the cell...

Hi, I would like to make a bound text box not visible if it is empty (not just disable it). This option is not available from the standard conditional formatting feature (at least, not that I can find). I thought of calling a class module function via Expression Builder for the control. I have written a basic function, but don't seem to be able to pass the relevant arguments correctly. It seems to me that I need to pass two...

I have a Label on a report with a check box from a table indicating True or False. I would like to have the labels that are true to highlight yellow using conditional foramtting. The False labels to remain unhighlighted. I have tried changing the label to a text box and then conditional formatting "Expresion Is" "BILL"=TRUE. But the formatting is not working. I loose my Label text and BackColor does not change. Any Suggestions?

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
