Hi All,
Is there any way of adding intellisense descriptions to my own
classes, class methods and functions in VB.NET?
I think it can be done in c# using /// before the method
declaration, but is this possible in VB?
many thanks,
Jason. 3 1938
Jason,
It will be possible in VB2005, now it is possible using some thirth party
tools

I'm working on a solution containing about 20 projects. Some of the projects
contain class definitions that are used in other of the projects. Most of
the time intellisense is working ok, i.e. if I work with objects declared
from my own classes intellisense will show me all alternatives (methods and
properties from my classes and from the classes they are derived from). But
sometimes I will get nothing from intellisense, completely nothing,...

I'm working in VB.Net, using Visual Studio 2003.
I have a project, let's call it Foo, that contains common methods, forms,
and objects I use in other projects. It compiles as Foo.dll, which I then
reference from the project that needs it.
Let's say I have a method, Bar, that I want to access from another project.
If I add a public module Methods to Foo, and add a public method Bar to
Methods, I can call it from my other project a...

When developing C# applications in VS.NET, you get intellisense descriptions
for all methods in the .NET class libraries. I've created my own .NET
assembly and included /// C# documentation of all my methods, classes, etc..
The intellisense works great when this .NET assembly project is included in
the solution I'm working on. However, if I just make a reference to the
..dll file instead of including the 'project', the...

Hi All,
I have created an API in C# for developers to use at my workplace, and have
commented it fully. If I reference the DLL in a new class in my API
project, I get full intellisense on the methods, descriptions and
everything.
If I make a new project and include my API DLL, I do get Intellisense popus,
but they are missing the descriptions I created. ( I see only the method
signatures)

I have the following coded elements:
1. An interface
2. A baseclass implementing the interface
3. A subclass that inherits the baseclass and contains some extra properties and methods
I use my subclass through COM, in this case in Access2003.
Now, if I declare a variable x As mySubClass, then on typing "x." Intellisense shows me nothing.
If I declare a variable x As myBaseClass, then on typing "x." Intellisense still shows me nothing....

Is there a way to put some comments in my class designs that will show up in
the IDE intellisense so I can add some information about the parameters to
be passed to member methods?
Thanks in advance for the help.

I've added comments to a method in A.dll. B.exe references A.dll. I
see the new method and only the stock comment (type methodname()) in
intellisense. However, when I use object browser from B.exe to view
A.dll, I see the new method and all the comments. How do I get the
comments to come through in B.exe via intellisense when I scroll to
that method?
Thanks,
Brett

Hello,
I'm using __declspec(property) to access get/set methods as properties
(like in C# and VB.NET). Now, the problem is that both the property
name and the get/set methods show in the intellisense list. Is there
anyway to remove the names of the get/set methods from the
intellisense list?
Here's an example, I have two methods, one is a get method with the
name getText and another set method with the name setText, the name of
the...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
