CallConvCdecl

Hi

Has anybody ever used that class? I would need to implement an attribute
using that class, to declare a callback-function with Cdecl Calling
Convention.Are there samples for that?

For that to work the attribute would have to be placed on the
delegate's Invoke method. But since you don't write that explicitly in
VB.NET you can't do it that way.

I was considering C# for developing a scientific application, but I have noticed a ~30% difference between VC++ .NET and C# on the same machine, under identical conditions: double a = 0,b = 0, c = 0, d = 0, e = 0; for(int n = 0; n != 6000000; n++) { a = n % 5 *2 / 3 - 4 + 6 / 3 - n + n * 2; b = n * 2.3 - 1 *2 / 3 - 4 + 6 / 3 - n + n * 2; c = n * 3 / 3.5 *2 / 3 - 4 + 6 / 3 - n + n * 2;

How can the CallConvCdecl class be used? MSDN says it is for compiler writers. Can a mere mortal use it?

I have run an experiment to try to learn some things about floating point performance in managed C++. I am using Visual Studio 2003. I was hoping to get a feel for whether or not it would make sense to punch out from managed code to native code (I was using IJW) in order to do some amount of floating point work and, if so, what that certain amount of floating point work was approximately. To attempt to do this I made a program that...

Hello, I tried to confirm that two different heap allocation calls were being made, i.e., one for __gc and one for __nogc. However, the addresses of the calls (as seen in disassembly) are not what I expected. As you can see the four calls in tmain are all to the same routine, while the one in the class constructor is different. Does anybody know what's going on here? Thanks

I'm trying to get FFTW (fftw.org) to work in such a way that it can be called from a managed C++ module. The approach I've found to generate the fewest linker errors is a mixed managed/unmanaged project. However, that still produces the following from the linker: FFTW2 error LNK2020: unresolved token (0A0000C6) fftw_execute Running ildasm on the resulting dll shows: ..method public static unmanagedexp void

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
